Meet an Author–Molly McLain!

I’m so happy to introduce my guest author for November!!

*strikes up my own personalized rendition of “On Wisconsin” on my kazoo as I throw cheese squares* (uh, she’s from Wisconsin, folks 😛 )

Molly McLain!

Molly is a USA Today Best Selling Author of contemporary romance and she’s absolutely adorable! We met last fall when she very graciously took charge of the romance anthology Alphas & Fairytales that fifteen other authors and I, including Molly herself, contributed stories to, to benefit VETSports. So on top of writing her own story for it, she was organizing it all too. How awesome is she?!

Molly’s books are chock-full of HOT alpha males, and her characters are so realistic, you suddenly find yourself lost in their story actually thinking these are real people you’re reading about. I loved Ian and Lauren in her book Blink that was in the anthology. And I freaking loved Trent & Kinsey too from Bend (Vegas Heat, Book 1). Trent is the perfect blend of badass & alpha dude and Kinsey’s a woman in charge who doesn’t put up with a whole lot of crap. You want a hot couple to read? Go grab any of Molly’s books now! I’ll be reading more from her because she writes exactly the way I like to read, if that makes sense! ❤

Let’s find out more about Molly!

1. If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a medal for?

Molly: Procrastinating, hands down. Molly Phelps. 16-time Olympic medalist for sitting on her ass. Boom!   (bwahahaha I’m right there with you, sister)

2. What’s your go-to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

Molly: Journey or REO Speedwagon. #80sgirl   (Yaass! Van Halen–NOT Van Hagar–Metallica, Def Leppard)

3. What’s something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Molly: Whoa. Not sure I can narrow this down to one thing 🙂 How about fall in love and experience heartbreak (so you can feel the full spectrum of love), take a trip just for yourself, and adopt a pet/save a life.   (I’m so gonna do the trip!)

4. What’s something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you don’t get the point of?

Molly: Confession: I’ve never read the Fifty Shades or Twilight books. Never watched the movies either, and I have absolutely no reason for doing so. Just haven’t. 🙂

5. What are you looking forward to most in the next 10 years?

Molly: Great question! I hope to quit the day job and write full-time at some point between now and then, but I also can’t wait to see the cool things my kiddos do as they become adults!

6. What fad or trend do you wish would come back?

Molly: Hair bands. Except without the hair. Like, give me my screechy rock, but keep the spiral perms and bangs. (But…but…Jon Bon Jovi…)

7. What question do you most want to know the answer to?

Molly: When am I going to win the lottery? 🙂

8. PC or Mac?

Molly: Mac at home, PC at the day job.

9. Would you rather give up bathing for a month or give up the internet for a month? 😝

Molly: Bathing…duh! What kind of question is that!?

10. What’s your guilty pleasure on Netflix?

Molly: I only watch Netflix at my sister’s and we binge on cooking shows. I’m a totally Food Network junkie.

11. What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?

Molly: Being interrupted or someone trying to have a conversation over the top of mine. Grrr!

12. What was your favorite childhood book?

Molly: All things Nancy Drew!

13. What’s the first book that made you cry?

Molly: The better question is probably about the first book I DIDN’T cry over.  I seriously get teary at toilet paper commercials. Give me an ounce of emotion and it’s a cryfest.   (😂)

14. If you could market/sell only one of your books for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why?

Molly: Can’t Shake You, my very first book. In many ways, it’s the story of my heart. ❤  (Aw! I love that!)

15. Which character have you written that’s most like you?

Molly: I think they all have a little piece of me in them. 🙂

16. What do you munch on when writing?

Molly: I don’t munch much when I write…but I do guzzle fountain soda like a 1975 Pontiac guzzles gas.    (😜)

17. What is your writing kryptonite?

Molly: Music! Either country ballads or gritty rock.

18. What one thing would you give up to become a better writer?

Molly: Um…nothing. I’m too selfish. (I guess maybe socks. I hate socks anyway. 😉 )

19. If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?

Molly: Just keep at it. Write whatever you want, without boundaries. Do it again and again and again.

20. Have you ever Googled yourself? 😉

Molly: The real me, yes. That chick is CRAZY!   (😜)

21. Music or silence when you write?

Molly: Music usually.

22. Is there any other genre you’d like to try writing?

Molly: I’ll always write romance, but I may or may not have a few paranormal romance projects hanging around my hard drive.   (I SO wanna do paranormal romance!)

23. What’s the most difficult thing about writing characters from the opposite sex?

Molly: Coming. Or is cumming? That looks freaking weird. lol  (I vote “coming” 😛 )  I LOVE writing heroes, but since I’m not one, I always worry how wrong I actually am about the male big O.

24. If you could spend the day with one of your characters, who would it be and what would you do?

Molly: Josh Hudson. Because he’s hot, obvs. Wait, no…maybe Brody Nelson. He’s “bejeweled” and I want to try out that carnival ride.

25. How do you choose the names of your characters?

Molly: Just names that I like. Nothing too different, but nothing too “Mary Sue” either.

26. What does literary success look like to you?

Molly: Being able to write full-time and be financially stable. Maybe putting out 2-3 books a year.

27. Your latest book continues your River Bend Series. What got you into writing contemporary romance?

Molly: My last release was this summer. Boo to that! Can’t Let Go is the last book in my River Bend series, and I got started with small-town romance because I live in a small town and I have a very active imagination. My poor neighbors. lol   ( 😛 )

28. What’s one thing you’d like readers to get out of your books?

Molly: Hopefully that I write “real” characters that they can connect with on several levels.  (It’s true! I wasn’t making that up & I didn’t read your answer before saying that!)

29. What’s the best compliment you’ve gotten when it comes to your books?

Molly: That I’ve made readers cry. Knowing I’ve struck an emotional chord for someone is the best possible compliment.

30. Anything you’d like to say to your readers and fans?

Molly: Just a friendly reminder to take a few moments every single day for the ones you love. Hug them, kiss them, call them, think of them… Life is short and love is everything. ❤

31. Can you tell us what you’ve got coming up next?

Molly: Nope! It’s a super secret. 😉 But it’ll be here before the end of the year! 😀   (can’t wait to see what it is!)

Thank you so much for being my guest & for coming to my rescue & going earlier than you were supposed to, Molly! I appreciate it gobs! I wish you TONS of success & no writer’s block ever 😉 ❤

Meet an Author–Liv Morris!

I’m beyond ecstatic to introduce my guest author for October!!

*plays a few chords on the banjo for her since she jokes about her Ozark Mountain roots, although she’s as classy as they come 😉 *

Liv Morris!

Liv is a USA Today Best Selling author & one of the most genuinely nice people I’ve ever met. I adore her! ❤ She & I have known each other since 2010 when we were both writing fanfic lol After that, we met for dinner one night & it was as if we’d been friends forever! Another time, a group of us went for drinks where I got to meet her fabulous hubby, Nomad. Then, when she & Nomad were in town & came to my daughter’s summer-league basketball game, well, it just made me love them both even more for being so sweet!

Back in the day, I beta’d/edited for Liv, which was a blast ’cause I got to read her books before anyone else did 😉 Oh! Also, if it weren’t for Liv, who pushed me to start publishing my own books–I’m not sure if I ever would have on my own–I wouldn’t be where I am today, loving writing contemporary romance, so I owe her big time!!

Liv is the author of several contemporary romance short stories (she’s billed herself as Queen of Shorts a few times 😛 ), six full-length, awesomely sexy novels and she’s had novellas published in over fifteen anthologies–many of which have donated to charities–with tons of other amazingly talented writers! Her latest anthology The Vault: A Sinfully Sexy Collection has so far hit #1 on Amazon in at least two categories!

14. What’s the first book that made you cry?

Liv: Jane Eyre. It’s also my favorite book from my preteen years. (OMG I’m a Jane Eyre junkie!)

15. If you could market/sell only one of your books for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why?

16. Which character have you written that’s most like you?

Liv: Kathryn Delcour in Adam’s Apple.

17. What do you munch on when writing?

Liv: Sunflower seeds.

Liv: Music.

23. Is there any other genre you’d like to try writing?

Liv: Tantric Sex with Adam Kingsley from my Touch of Tantra series.

26. Which character in your books would you be least likely to get along with?

Liv: Adam Kingsley before he met his match.

27. How do you choose the names of your characters?

Liv: It’s random. Usually a first name then a last that works with it.

28. What does literary success look like to you?

Liv: The afternoon sun, because I found writing later in life.

29. What got you into writing contemporary romance?

Liv: I fell down a rabbit hole after reading the Twilight series. It led me to a new whole world of romance from fanfiction to now writing books.        ( 😀 )

30. What’s one thing you’d like readers to get out of your books?

Liv: I would love for people to close my books when they’re finished and have a smile on their face.

31. What’s the best compliment you’ve gotten when it comes to your books?

Liv: “It’s like watching a movie in my mind as I read it.”

32. Anything you’d like to say to your readers and fans?

Liv: I f*cking love you!

33. Can you tell us what you’ve got coming up next?

Bossy Nights– An office rom-com. A younger woman finds a job in NYC and falls for an older man, who’s head of the company. He more than falls for her too. It’s more like he face plants. Lol (Sounds great! Can’t wait! ❤ )

Meet an Author–Kristi Pelton!

OMG I’m so thrilled to introduce my guest author for September!

*slowly chanting “Roccccck Challllllk Jayhawwwwwk” 😛 *

Kristi Pelton!

I met Kristi three years ago when I got my hands on her book Pure Will & LOVED IT! I laughed, cried and fell in love with Will (Yowza!) and Camden, who’s so freaking adorable. Such a cute couple and the book was perfect with all kinds of twists and turns that surprised me to the very end!

Now, although Kristi’s a Kansas Jayhawk fan & I’m an OU Sooner fan, we still get along because she’s a CUBS FAN TOO! WOOHOO! Plus, she’s just kinda awesome on top of that 😁 She’s got a great sense of humor which plays a big part in most of her books, and I find myself cracking up when I’m reading them. Dibs had me howling several times especially at Sam’s dates 😂 Kristi writes contemporary and new adult romance, and I promise, there’s something for everyone in all of her books!

*Don’t forget to enter Kristi’s giveaway below!*

Let’s find out more about Kristi!

1. What’s your hidden talent?

Kristi: My hidden talent, that I typically only do after consuming adult beverages—Gosh, I’m almost afraid to say because it will make so many jealous. But…here goes, I can spit, let it dangle into an obnoxiously long strand of saliva then—I can slurp it right back up into my mouth. It’s truly amazing.   ( 🤣 )

2. If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a medal for?

Kristi: Hmm… sarcastic banter. I think I could at least win a bronze. (Especially if the Olympics were held in Go Fuck Yourself, Russia) OK…I’m down for a silver!  🙂  (😂 Go Fuck Yourself, Russia)

3. What’s your go-to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

Kristi: I’m a total playlist girl depending on my mood. But Eminem is probably my go to… I could undoubtedly out rap Eminem.  (I HAVE to hear this 😜 )

4. What’s something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you don’t get the point of?

Kristi: Game of Thrones. I’ve only watched the first season and I was like ‘meh.’ Everyone says to stick with it but I’m just kind of like…next!  (Kristi & I have already discussed this tragic flaw of hers & she promises to give it another shot… 😉 )

5. What are you looking forward to most in the next 10 years?

Kristi: Watching what my boys accomplish! (Said with excitement and fear!!) 🙂

6. What fad or trend do you wish would come back?

Kristi: I’m going to have to go with 80’s hair. My God, that was a lot of work and very hazardous to my lungs from the hairspray. This ponytail/messy bun era is ridiculously easy. Totally unfair.  (I’ll bet my hair was bigger than yours 🙄)

7. Would you rather give up bathing for a month or give up the internet for a month?

Kristi: I’m a wee bit OCD (a lot bit)…I’d have to go with the internet. 😝

8. What’s your guilty pleasure on Netflix?

Kristi: I’m not a huge Netflix girl but my sons and I watch Shameless and Walking Dead—like to the point that we plan fun meals for the season premier or finale. (We clearly have sad lives) 🙂

9. What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?

Kristi: Left lane drivers!! ROAD RAGE… I pulled a gun out just thinking about it. 🙂 If you are in the left lane—go fast or get the hell out of the way!!   (Preaching to the choir here, woman! 😠)

10. What do you munch on when writing?

Kristi: Nothing…ever.

11. Have you ever Googled yourself? 😉

Kristi: Indeed…is there someone who hasn’t??

12. Music or silence when you write?

Kristi: Shhh!

13. Is there any other genre you’d like to try writing?

Kristi: I’d love to write a parenting manual for raising boys… a comedy of course! ( 😆)

14. How do you choose the names of your characters?

Kristi: I started off with people in my life—

15. What does literary success look like to you?

Kristi: Accomplished!  It has nothing to do with money or bestseller status (though I reached #33 on Amazon with Slick). For me, it was receiving emails from readers that a book touched them. People I didn’t know. Knowing the community was talking about a book that I wrote thrills me to the bone. (I adored Slick!)

16. Anything you’d like to say to your readers and fans?

Kristi: Thank you, thank you, thank you…from the bottom of my heart.  There are so many books/authors…that you chose me… my cup runneth over!!

17. Can you tell us what you’ve got coming up next?

Kristi: I’m working on a sort of sexy, legal, romantic comedy. I’d like to reveal a release date- but honestly, I don’t have one!!!  😦  (Can’t wait!!)

Thank you so much for stopping by, Kristi!! I wish you the very best & many, many years of success with your fabulous books! ❤

Meet an Author–Megan Matthews!

I’m so pumped to introduce my guest author for August!

*insert some swanky Chick-fil-A music here 😂*

Megan Matthews!

I’ve known Megan for going on four years now! Damn, how time flies! I met Megan when she and Trish ran the book blog Bedroom Bookworms, which was a super awesome site! She and Trish worked hard on getting not only my books out there to new readers, but other indie authors’ books as well, and we all love them hard ❤

As for the Chick-fil-A intro music, well, I’ve noticed on Instagram that Megan might kinda love that place…I could be wrong…but I don’t think I am LOL

Megan is now the author of the hit series The Boys of RDA—where hot video gamers abound along with a sexy soccer player who has some strange apartment rules 😉 —as well as her latest series Pelican Bay Security which starts with the first book, Security Risk, that just might include a hot ex-Navy SEAL. Hell yes! 😏

Let’s get to know a little more about Megan!

1. If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a medal for?

Megan: Reading the most minutes without moving. There are times my fitbit thinks I’ve gone to sleep when I get into a good book. (🤣)

2. What’s your go-to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

Megan: Mariana’s Trench. They are my all-time favorite band and I love just about everything they’ve released

3. What’s something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Megan: Get in the car and just drive without a destination in mind. (I’m so gonna do this!!!)

4. What’s something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you don’t get the point of?

Megan: Snapchat… Snap Chat <— See I can’t even spell it. I don’t know what this app does differently than all the other social media apps I have on my phone. (I agree lol I have it only to see the pics/vids my niece posts of my adorable great niece!)

5. What fad or trend do you wish would come back?

Megan: Tamagotchi pets. Weren’t those the coolest things ever? The first edition ones in particular. (I JUST wrote a Tamagotchi line into my next book lmao)

6. What was your favorite childhood book?

Megan: The Root Cellar by Janet Lunn. I recently found a copy in a used bookstore and snatched it up. I’m sure my family thought I was on drugs from my squeal of excitement.

7. What’s the first book that made you cry?

Megan: Bridge to Terabithia. And then because back then I was a glutton for punishment I promptly read it five hundred more times. Crying more and more. I also made my husband and mother see it when it was made into a movie a few years ago. They laughed at the box of Kleenex I brought in, but they weren’t laughing on the way out.

8. If you could market/sell only one of your books for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why?

Megan: Grind (The Boys of RDA). There is just something special about Marissa and Ryland’s relationship that makes me have warm fuzzy feelings inside.

9. Which character have you written that’s most like you?

Megan: I think in a way every character is a bit me in some way or another. If I had to pick the one that I resonate with the most it would have to be Katy from my Pelican Bay series. Fans meet her in Security Risk as a friend of Tabitha’s, but she’ll be popping in here and there on occasion until she gets her own story later in the series. Katy is feisty and always has a quick comeback. She leads with her emotions and is quick to get angry and defend others if she thinks something/someone is being treated unfairly. She’s also a tad (read a lot) snarky and I love being able to write that in a character.

10. What is your writing kryptonite?

Megan: Children

11. Have you ever Googled yourself? 😉

Megan: YES! What’s the fun in life if you can’t give yourself a good Google?  One of “me” is very smart and is an executive vice president somewhere. Another “me” is a porn star. So I have all of that going for my career. 🙂  (ha!)

12. Music or silence when you write?

Megan: Music. But only music no one else can be talking or walking or moving around me.

13. Is there any other genre you’d like to try writing?

Megan: I have a Psychological Thriller finished that only close friends have seen. One day I’d like to write a bunch more and publish them, but right now my heart is with the romance. Who doesn’t love a happy ending?

14. If you could spend the day with one of your characters, who would it be and what would you do?

Megan: It would definitely be Aspen from my very first book, Rush. (FREE on all retailers 🙂 ) We’d explore San Francisco together and eat some amazing food. She always seems to have a good food hook up.

15. Which character in your books would you be least likely to get along with?

Megan: Simone from Lag ! She’s so sweet and always sees the best in people. I’d want to shake her a bit if we ever met in real life. While writing her story I yelled at her to get mad ALL.THE.TIME. She was just too nice and wouldn’t do it.

16. How do you choose the names of your characters?

Megan: I spend a lot of time on Nameberry. I also steal names from people I hear on the street. Today my child made a friend on the playground named Kandace and I decided that’s a perfect heroine name for someone lol

17. What does literary success look like to you?

Megan: Being able to feed my family more than Cup O’ Noodles on my royalty checks. ( 😛 )

18. What’s the best compliment you’ve gotten when it comes to your books?

Megan: I love to hear when people couldn’t put them down and/or they finished them in one sitting.

19. Anything you’d like to say to your readers and fans?

Megan: You guys are the best and I seriously wouldn’t be doing this job without the amazing people in this community. If I could I would drive to every single one of your houses and hug you….except I don’t hug and I’m not a bazillionaire….. yet.

20. Can you tell us what you’ve got coming up next?

Megan: I have TWO books on the schedule for the rest of this year. In October I’ll be publishing a Novella, Holiday Risk. It’s a super cute story set in Pelican Bay so there is a former Navy SEAL involved. Then in either November or December I plan to publish Future Risk. Another Pelican Bay story with hot SEALS, bombs, and bullets. It’s going to be a busy, but awesome year. I can’t wait! (Woohoo!!)

Thank you so much for joining me, Megan! And I wish you much continued success with your amazing books! ❤

Meet an Author–BB Miller & Leslie Carson!

I’m excited to introduce my guest authors for July!

*suspenseful music builds to a big-ass cymbals crash*

BB Miller and Leslie Carson!

I’ve known these two talented ladies for a long time! Leslie & I met maybe seven years ago, I believe! Crazy how time flies!

Pretty sure BB & I have chatted before about her WSU Cougars (I was probably griping about my OU Sooners at the time 🙄 ) and Swess (I call Leslie this because, well, no reason, except she’s just Swess ❤ ) had me edit for her yearssss ago and I loved getting to read her stories before anyone else did! 😏

These lovelies published their first book together, Rock the Dream–Redfall Dream Series (Book 1), on February 1, and it not only made a huge splash as a debut novel, but the reviews have all been raves!

And Kennedy Lane? Oh, my. He’s as sexy as he is infuriating. And just when you wanna smack him, he makes you swoon 😛 I think I’ve found my new book boyfriend! lol ❤

Let’s find out more about these girls!

Thank you so much for these questions and for including us! (Thank YOU for participating! ❤ )

1. What’s your hidden talent?

BB—I can make a mean Cosmopolitan!

LC—BB, that may be the best talent ever. 😊 Back in the day, I won several lip sync battles- before they were popular and featured on late night TV. 😊

2. If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a medal for?

BB—Cocktail shaking. ( 😂 )

LC—Reading.

3.What’s your go-to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

BB—This is a hard one! I guess either Ed Sheeran or Kings of Leon or Mumford and Sons or the Beatles…

LC—There are too many to list! Queen would be at the top, The Eagles, Foo Fighters, Blue Rodeo

4. What’s something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

BB—Get a bird’s eye view. Whether it’s zip lining, or hang-gliding, or finding the tallest observation deck around, find somewhere you can take a few minutes to see the world from high up. Your troubles slip away and it gives you new perspective.

LC—Get lost in a city. Too many people travel with these high activity, stressful itineraries when they’re on holiday. One of the best times I’ve ever had is when I got lost in the Underground in London and got off at the wrong station. I spent the day just exploring without an agenda, and it was fantastic.

5. What’s something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you don’t get the point of?

BB—Selfies. I can see taking a couple of you and a friend if you get together once in a while and you want to remember what you did. But constantly taking pictures of yourself with nothing but your car, sushi, or whatever? I don’t get it. (My 20 yo daughter would SO disagree 🙄 )

LC—Selfies are bad, and those selfie sticks are equally horrible. Right now, it’s bottle-flipping. It makes no sense at all, and I think my 13-year-old would medal in that if it was an Olympic sport. Please, please, MAKE IT STOP! (hahaha)

6. What are you looking forward to most in the next 10 years?

BB—Being cancer-free. (That would be fabulous! ❤ )

LC—BB and my sister being cancer-free. (Also fabulous! Keeping you all in my prayers ❤ )

7. What fad or trend do you wish would come back?

LC—Roller skating. Ah, the memories of Studio 801!

BB—I loved roller skating!!! I’m a danger on ice skates.

8. Would you rather give up bathing for a month or give up the internet for a month? 😝

BB—Easy! I’d give up the internet over showers.

LC—The internet! There’s no way I’m giving up my showers.

9. What’s the first book that made you cry?

BB—The Witch of Blackbird Pond. I loved that book. I still do!

LC—Charlotte’s Web—I distinctly remember bawling my eyes out in class.

10. Which character have you written that’s most like you?

BB—I think that’s best answered by someone else!

LC—I think there’s a little bit sprinkled into most of them.

11. What do you munch on when writing?

BB—I try not to! But I have to say I’m addicted to sweet potato tortilla chips.

LC—There’s this trail mix that I love far too much, and I have a weakness for chocolate almonds. If they’re in the house, they won’t last long.

12. If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?

BB—I would have paid more attention to punctuation drills!

LC—Holy cow–commas! BB can tell you alllll about it. 😊

13. Have you ever Googled yourself? 😉

BB—I have for work, but not for writing.

LC—No way!

14. Music or silence when you write?

BB—Depends on my mood! Sometimes, even music is distracting to me.

LC—I almost always have music playing. Unless I’m writing at work, which I’ve been known to do.

15. Is there any other genre you’d like to try writing?

LC—I’d love to give horror a try. Not gruesome, bloodshed horror. More along the lines of suspenseful, you want to sleep with the lights on horror.

BB—You’d be great at that!! I’ve had a mafia storyline floating in my head for a couple years—one day, I’d like to get that on paper.

16. If you could spend the day with one of your characters, who would it be and what would you do?

BB—Kennedy Lane. I’d like to spend the day listening to the band rehearsing in his home studio. (I could stand a day with KL 😉 )

LC—Sean Murphy. Give me a British accent, and a free spirit, and I’m hooked. (Well, damn…I could hang out with a drummer too lol)

17. Which character in your books would you be least likely to get along with?

BB—Nadia (although there’s another one coming up that I detest as well).

LC—Brodie (I’m with Barb on this though. There’s a new one that is beyond awful in Cameron’s book).

18. How do you choose the names of your characters?

BB—Hmm…I seem to remember one evening in a bar in San Francisco and names scribbled on a cocktail napkin…

LC—*laughs hard* Yep- cocktails are usually involved.

19. Your latest book continues your Redfall Dream Series. What got you into writing about rockstars?

LC—I’ve been writing for a while. (Side note: On a recent trip back home, my mom gave me a stack of old short stories I wrote, which included an entire soap opera set in the eighties. I had completely forgotten about it, and spent the next several hours laughing so hard I was crying at the scenarios I put these people into.) RTD actually started out as a graduation surprise for a very dear friend of ours who finished nursing school. We’re so proud of Mandy!!! (YAY Mandy!!) I’ve always been drawn to Rockstar romances. There’s something a bit mysterious about musicians and what drives them. And who doesn’t love a talented, tattooed man playing just for you? (This girl does!)

20. What’s one thing you’d like readers to get out of your books?

LC—To never, ever give up.

BB—To be true to yourself.

21. What’s the best compliment you’ve gotten when it comes to your books?

BB—That we convey emotions well. I think that is really hard to do without being melodramatic, and I love it when people say we’ve struck the right balance.

LC—That people can relate to the characters and the challenges they try to work through.

22. Can you tell us what you’ve got coming up next?

BB—The next book, Live Your Dream, focuses on Matt Logan, Redfall’s bass guitarist. (Aw! I wanna give Matt a great big hug for all he’s gone through)

LC—Yes! Matt makes me swoon just a little. 😊 He’ll be out in the fall this year. We’re also working on Cameron and Sean’s books which will be out sometime in 2018. (*squees*)
